Leaders,
Thanks to all those who joined us for our meeting this morning. I believe we had our best attendance yet. Please keep inviting — remember we want Christian leaders and staff, not only of churches but of all types of organizations!
This week our feature presenter was Pamela Hanson from Adventist Health Home Health & Hospice. She shared information about the amazing care that hospice offers to those who are terminally ill. She also expressed the ongoing need for volunteers, including chaplains, assistance with putting together care packages, and simply care for the patient and afterwards, for the bereaved.
We also heard updates and reports from:
- Lambert Sikkema, our Community Involvement Workgroup coordinator, indicated that they have identified two houses qualifying for the Curb Appeal project he is spearheading. The first “working” effort on one of the houses will take place in partnership with Serve Day (a cooperative effort of several churches that seeks to release volunteers into the community) happening on May 5th.
- Robert Butts of Athena Financial Group expressed his desire to be available to assist churches facilitate Financial Peace University groups as well as offering practical financial counseling for people within churches who are in need of training.
- Katherine Enloe gathered additional signatures for the National Day of Prayer Proclamation and invited all to be a part of that day. Tickets and and information available here.
As always, we began with a time of connection and prayer. It was wonderful to hear all the voices in the room and see people praying for one another.

If you weren’t able to join us, we would love to see you next time on the 3rd Thursday of the month, May 17th at 7:30am for an hour of encouragement and collaboration for the purpose of the Kingdom.
