Leaders,

We have completed our first year of the Christian Leaders Network! Thursday marked the completion of our 2017/2018 season and we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have made CLN possible. We continue to believe that as we intentionally gather as pastors and ministry leaders for the purpose of prayer and encouragement, community engagement, and resource connection, we are growing stronger and our community reaps the benefits.

At this month’s meeting, after our normal time of prayer and connection, we paused to hear hear some feedback from those in attendance. CLN is only valuable, if it is valuable to YOU! Thank you to all those who participated in both the discussion and filling out the feedback forms. As always, please feel free to email us any and all suggestions.

The feedback was very positive and we left with some great suggestions on how to tweak things to be better as we relaunch in August. One of the great ideas the came out of our time of discussion was the need to relaunch something like the Christian Businessmen’s Association that was once vibrant. This gathering would complement what we are doing with pastors and ministry leaders at CLN.

We will be digging through the surveys and planning our fall calendar accordingly.

There were two IMPORTANT announcements mentioned during our Round Table at the end of the meeting.

  • First, we are very excited that Habitat for Humanity is celebrating the opening of a local ReStore (415 W. Lacey Blvd) with a ribbon cutting on July 11 at 9:30am and a reception at 5pm on June 27. See the attachment for the invitation.
  • Second, there is a GriefShare class for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one beginning on July 26th. Adventist Health Home Care Services is opening this class to the community. The material is faith based and is excellent. More information attached.

Remember, we will NOT be meeting in July so our next CLN gathering will be on the 3rd Thursday of August on August 16 at 7:30am in the Chapel behind the AH Community Care Building located at 1025 N Douty Street in Hanford. Please note: we will go dark in July and won’t meet again until August.

Blessings,

The CLN Team

P.S. We have launched a very small (and immature) website for CLN. For now it is mostly a repository of our meeting notes, but more to come! Check it out at clnkings.com
